Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)
Riboflavin is necessary for the development and functioning of the skin and the lining of the digestive tract, blood cells and many other parts of the body. Vitamin B2 can help increase energy levels; boost immune system function and maintain healthy hair, skin and nails. It can be found in foods such as milk, meat, eggs and nuts.
Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
Studies show that Niacin is important for good health in general. It can boost levels of good HDL cholesterol and lower triglycerides, whilst also helping to reduce atherosclerosis and harden arteries. Niacin is present in meat, poultry, fish and eggs.
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)
Pantothenic acid helps the body to use carbohydrates, proteins and lipids correctly, and also contributes to healthy skin. It is widely found in plants and animal produce, such as meat, vegetables, eggs and milk.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)
Vitamin B6 helps prevent and treat low levels of pyridoxine, heart disease and high cholesterol, as well as reducing levels of homocysteine. Vitamin B6 is present in foods such as cereals, beans, vegetables, meat and eggs.
Guarana is a plant, native to the Amazon forest, best known for its fruit, the guarana berry. Guarana is one of the best natural sources of caffeine, as its berries contain about twice the caffeine found in coffee beans. The caffeine found in guarana is slowly released into the body, offering long-lasting effects.
Taurine is popular for its potential to help stimulate metabolism. Taurine also has additional benefits in the body, such as protecting the brain, heart, and immune system. It plays an essential role in metabolism and digestion, as it helps the liver to create bile salts. Bile salts help break down fatty acids in the intestines.
Dextrose replenishes glycogen stores. Glycogen is a form of glucose that the body stores for energy. When someone does an intense activity, the body uses up some of its stored glycogen. Many people add dextrose to water and drink it following a workout to replenish those glycogen stores as quickly as possible to help with muscle repair. During the muscle repair process, muscles increase in strength and size, both essential outcomes.
